A Conduct Liaison (CL) serves as the main resource for procedural education and student support throughout the conduct process at Washington State University. Their role is to help students understand the mechanics of the process through clear communication and by setting expectations.

A CL can assist students in several specific ways:

  • They are permitted to answer questions regarding timelines, possible outcomes, and student rights.
  • They help students organize themselves for the conduct process.
  • While they cannot tell a student what to do or what not to do, they can talk through various potential paths forward with the student.
  • CLs can attend all meetings or hearings a student may have in the conduct process.
